Public transport in the Moravian-Silesian Region is deploying 21st-century technologies. Power electrical services, in close cooperation with system integrator TelMax s.r.o., has completed the installation of 35 self-service ticket machines. These devices replace or supplement traditional ticket offices and provide passengers with full service 24/7.
Introducing the POWER STAR L – Version A For the needs of the region, we delivered a custom version of our proven model. It is one of the largest and heaviest ticket machines we have ever realized. The entire process—from initial design and certification to final installation at Railway Administration (SŽ) stations—took more than 30 months.
Technical parameters and uniqueness of the solution:
- Display area: 2x 24" high-brightness displays with automatic brightness control for excellent readability in direct sunlight.
- Payment methods: Acceptance of cash (banknotes, coins with recycling) as well as contactless payments.
- Backup printing: The machine is equipped with two 80mm thermal printers. If one runs out of paper, the system automatically switches to the second one.
- Remote assistance: An integrated camera, microphone, and speaker allow a connection to a call center to assist the passenger with their purchase.
- Accessibility: Support for disabled passengers includes haptic elements, voice navigation, and a headphone jack.
- Connectivity: Online data connection for remote management and real-time monitoring of the device's status.
Despite the difficult installation conditions at 35 different stations, we succeeded in creating a system that is robust, secure (Anti-Vandal construction), and user-friendly.
